Impact and Transparency
MACC’s work is anchored by two strategic priorities: infusing our commitment to IDEA throughout all of our programs and services, and expanding our efforts to advance systems change and advocacy to address the systemic racism and underinvestment that holds our sector, and our communities back. These priorities shape how we deliver shared services, build our learning community, amplify our collective voice, and put our commitment to IDEA into practice every day.
Our Theory of Change
MACC operates at five interconnected levels — each one essential. We bring our network together to learn, advocate, and build the collective power needed to make our work easier and change the conditions limiting our sector’s impact. We are:
A home for our network of human services nonprofits
A vehicle for collective action and voice
A provider of quality shared administrative services
A resource for information, knowledge, and learning
A facilitator of cooperative purchasing power
Strategic Priorities in Action
Each year MACC creates an Impact Report — a storytelling showcase that looks back at what our network lived through, accomplished, and learned together. It’s our chance to celebrate bright spots, honor the hard work of our community, and share the stories and messages that matter most to us as a network.

We Drive Impact Through:
Shared Services
Human services nonprofits deserve the administrative infrastructure to match the importance of their work. MACC’s shared services were built by nonprofits, for nonprofits, giving our network access to the enterprise-level expertise, operational stability, and collective knowledge that larger organizations take for granted. Because when nonprofits run well, communities thrive.
Learning
The challenges facing human services nonprofits are complex, rapidly evolving, and too big for any one leader to navigate alone. MACC’s network exists to bring our network together to connect with experts, thought leaders, and each other, building the collective knowledge and peer support that makes every organization in our network stronger.
Advocacy
Human services nonprofits are under-resourced, undervalued, and up against systems that were not designed with them in mind. No single organization can change that alone. MACC exists to make sure they don’t have to, amplifying the collective power of our network to fight for funding that works, data practices that center community, and a narrative that reflects the true value of human services work.
IDEA
IDEA — Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility — is core to why we our network exists and how we work. We believe human services organizations should be of, by, and for their communities, and that everyone has the right to well-being. That belief shapes everything we do, from how we deliver services to how we advocate for systems change. We believe our network has a responsibility to resist oppressive systems courageously and persistently.
Accountability
As a network built on trust, shared resources, and collective ownership, our members deserve to see how we’re doing and where we’re going. Our Annual Reports, Year in Review reports, and financial statements are available here.
