Membership Details
MACC membership is more than a service subscription — it’s an investment in your organization’s long-term strength, resilience, and impact. Our members don’t just get support they get connections with experts and colleagues and access to a level of expertise, infrastructure, and collective power that no single organization could build or afford alone. Because our services, our programming, and our advocacy are all designed specifically for human services nonprofits, everything we offer is built around the realities of your work, your mission, and the communities you serve.
Membership Expectations & Responsibilities
MACC membership is a mutual commitment — we show up for you, and we ask you to show up for the network. Our members share a common set of values that shape how we work together: collaboration, valuing relationships, showing courage, demonstrating a commitment to equity, and striving for excellence through learning and growth.
In practice this looks like:
Share and engage.
Our network is strong because our members bring their knowledge, expertise, connections, and resources to the table. We ask you to do the same — sharing what you know, learning from others, and actively engaging in the collective work of the network.
Show up.
Membership is most valuable when you’re engaged. We offer a wide range of opportunities to learn, connect, and contribute — virtual and in-person events, our Annual Member Summit, advocacy opportunities, service cohorts, councils, and more. We ask our members to show up, participate actively, and build the relationships that make this network strong.
Share ownership.
MACC exists because our members built it, and continue to shape it every day. Shared ownership means more than showing up. It means voting in board elections, participating in governance decisions, and stepping into leadership on our Board, Committees, and Working Groups. The more our members lead, the stronger this network becomes.
Share the cost.
MACC is a nonprofit. Our members share the cost of our programs and services through a simple and equitable dues structure: 1/7th of 1% of your total operating expenses, ranging from $500 to $11,500 annually. Our service costs are built to scale with your organization’s size and needs. We succeed when our members succeed — that’s the only bottom line we’re working toward.
How Membership Works
Joining MACC starts with a conversation — not an application. We want to get to know your organization, understand your needs, and make sure MACC is the right fit for where you are and where you’re going. If it feels like a match, we’ll work with you to get started.

Shared Services: created by nonprofits, for nonprofits
Our shared services give MACC members access to the expertise, infrastructure, and collective knowledge that no single organization could build or afford alone. Our shared staff become part of your team, bringing the collective knowledge of working alongside dozens of diverse organizations. Available a la carte and priced at cost: HR Services, Accounting Services, Data Services, Managed IT Services, and Clinical Billing Services.
Our Work Together: built for our sector, driven by our network.
MACC’s work goes beyond shared services. We bring our network together to learn, advocate, and build the collective power needed to change the conditions limiting our sector’s impact. From advocacy and systems change to workforce solutions and policy resources, we work together to strengthen our network and our sector.
