About
Banyan Community is a family and youth development organization located in the Phillips neighborhood of South Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our mission is to transform lives by developing youth, strengthening families, and creating community.
We provide a continuum of support for children, youth, and families through programs such as after-school enrichment, summer learning opportunities, academic support, and post-secondary success initiatives. Our work extends beyond youth development to include family engagement programs, parent leadership and education opportunities, food and basic needs support, community-building activities, and a senior social club that fosters connection and well-being among older adults.
By taking a holistic, relationship-based approach, Banyan partners with youth and families to build the skills, resources, and support networks needed to thrive both now and in the future.
