Stepping Stone Emergency Housing
About
A Homeless Shelter, And So Much More. Whether shelter is needed for a few nights or a few months, all Stepping Stone residents are treated with dignity and respect and have their basic needs met. This means a bed and linens to call their own, three meals per day, showers, laundry facilities, and even clothing and toiletries when needed. But that’s not all. Through our first-of-its-kind programs and services, we work with each resident one-on-one to identify the cause of their homelessness — for example, lack of education, unemployment or under employment, need for affordable housing, making positive personal choices — and help them develop a personalized plan to move toward self-sufficiency. Working with a case manager, each resident completes an Individual Goal Plan (IGP) that identifies their ultimate goal and breaks it down into attainable steps to reach that goal.
We’re meeting residents’ needs while they call Stepping Stone “home,” and more important, we’re helping them take steps to establish a home of their own.
Mission
Our mission is to support individuals 18 and over who are experiencing homelessness by accelerating the growth of available shelter that brings education and solutions to our homeless response.
